School Spotlight: Bowling Green State University

I had the opportunity to hear from Adrea Spoon, Director of Admissions at BGSU last week and was impressed by some of the exciting things happening on campus.

BGSU

Here are 5 Fun Facts about Bowling Green State University:

1) BGSU Aviation has among the newest and most up-to-date fleet of aircrafts in the region and the largest among Ohio universities. It even has a walkable airport on main campus! Students enrolled in their professional pilot program get to fly their first year and often during their first semester (sounds scary to me, but cool if you are pursuing aviation!)

2) BGSU's Falcons Learning Your Way (FLY) program is designed to help students with learning disabilities and attention challenges achieve success in college. Students who are admitted to the FLY program receive individualized support and develop a plan with a learning specialist that is unique to the student.

3) BGSU is introducing several new academic programs in 2020, including a partnership with Mercy Health/Mercy College to deliver dual degrees for nursing students - a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from BGSU and a RN from Mercy.

4) The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation has a crime lab and criminal investigation facility on the BGSU campus giving forensic science students amazing exposure and experiential learning opportunities to witness forensic science research and investigation in action.

5) BGSU offers the Falcon Tuition Guarantee, locking in your freshmen tuition for all four years of college.
