About Me

I am a Chicago native and Northwestern Wildcat, having earned my undergraduate degree from Northwestern University in Communications and Spanish. My professional career began in advertising media and transitioned to higher education after my college sweetheart proposed marriage and transported me to Columbus, Ohio.

I have always had a natural inclination towards career coaching and a desire to help people maximize their individual potential. My interest in exploring training, development, employee motivation and performance management led me to pursue my graduate degree in Human Resources at The Ohio State’s Fisher College of Business and add “Buckeye” to my list of designations. Working in the Graduate Programs Office as a graduate student ignited my passion for higher education as a career choice. Prior to launching my own consulting practice, I spent 15 years working in graduate business admissions for The Ohio State University, one of the country’s largest universities, most recently as the Senior Director of Graduate Recruiting & Admissions. In this role, I was also responsible for overseeing the awarding and allocation of merit-based financial aid.

I have been affiliated with numerous organizations, including the Graduate Management Admissions Council (GMAC), The Forte′ Foundation, The National Association of Graduate Admissions Professionals (NAGAP), The National Association of International Educators (NAFSA) and The Society of Human Resource Management (SHRM). For two years I served on the advisory board of Liaison International’s BusinessCAS, a centralized application service for business schools.

I am an associate member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association (IECA) and the Ohio Association of Financial Aid Administrators (OASFAA), and a member of the National Association of College Admissions Counseling (NACAC) and the Ohio Association for College Admissions Counseling (OACAC). I was awarded my certificate in Independent Educational Consulting certification in August 2020 through UC Irvine Division of Continuing Education. As a part of my ongoing professional development, I completed the College Essay Experience Training through Wow Writing Workshop in February 2021. Most importantly, I am the proud mother of three beautiful children and an adorable Australian Labradoodle named Marvin.
